June 30th, 2018 — Superna, Business Protection You Can Count On, today announced Superna Eyeglass is available to customers of VMware Cloud™ on AWS. VMware Cloud on AWS brings together VMware’s enterprise-class Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) software and elastic, bare-metal infrastructure from Amazon Web Services (AWS) to give organizations consistent operating model and application mobility for private and public cloud. Superna Eyeglass enables simplified and automated DR orchestration for Dell EMC Isilon customers of VMware Cloud on AWS.
When deploying business critical systems such as Dell EMC Isilon Scale out NAS and Superna Eyeglass DR Orchestration, the best practice is to monitor the infrastructure from a 3rd site, separate from the primary and secondary systems. Customers without a 3rd site can now leverage VMware Cloud on AWS. VMware Cloud on AWS introduces a cost-effective solution to increase reliability and simplify critical infrastructure monitoring with ESX and vCenter running in AWS.
The deployment and management of virtual appliances has no learning curve for IT staff trained on internal VMware infrastructure in their own data centers. This key concept allows customers to easily leverage Cloud services for availability, geographic separation and HA access to their on-premise systems.
